Important limitation: Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, you acknowledge that:

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies and browser storage to maintain secure sessions and to remember your cookie preference across site pages. When you submit a cookie preference, we also create a server-side consent audit log entry with your selected level and basic request metadata. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

We value your privacy. We use technologies, such as cookies, and process Personal Information, such as IP addresses and cookie identifiers, to personalize ads and content based on your interests, measure the performance of ads and content, and derive insights about the audiences who saw ads and content. Click 'ACCEPT' to consent to the use of this technology and the processing of your Personal Information for these purposes. You can change your mind and change your consent choices at any time by returning to this site.

Consent for Collection, Processing & Storage

Joliez Agency relies on affirmative, purpose-specific consent (and, where applicable, contractual necessity or legal obligation) as the lawful basis for collecting, processing, and storing Personal Information. We obtain consent through the following mechanisms:

  • Cookie & tracking consent. A site-wide cookie banner presents Accept / Reject / Customize options before any non-essential tracking technologies are activated. Each selection is written to a server-side audit log capturing the chosen consent level, timestamp, IP address, and user-agent. Preferences can be changed at any time by re-opening the banner from any page footer.
  • Account registration. Users must affirmatively check a consent box and agree to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Notice before an account is created. The acceptance event is recorded with the account.
  • Purpose-specific consent at the point of collection. Separate, granular consent is captured before we collect or process sensitive data for specific workflows, including: employment applications and onboarding (background-check authorization, work-authorization documents), identity verification (KYC/IDV via Plaid Identity Verification and government ID), banking and ACH authorization (account linking via Plaid Auth and void-check intake), electronic signatures, electronic communications and SMS notifications, and biometric or photo capture where applicable.
  • Third-party data sharing. Where we share Personal Information with vetted service providers (e.g., Plaid Inc., Stripe Inc., email/SMS delivery providers), the consent flow discloses the recipient and the purpose, and links to the provider’s privacy policy.
  • Withdrawal of consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by updating preferences in your account Profile page, by responding to any communication with an opt-out request, or by emailing privacy@joliezagency.com. Withdrawal applies prospectively and does not affect processing that already occurred while consent was in force. Where consent is the sole lawful basis for a service, withdrawal may require us to discontinue that service.
  • Minors. Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that require it). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children without verifiable parental consent.

Consent records and audit logs are retained per the Data Retention, Deletion & Disposal schedule below, so that we can demonstrate, on request, when and how consent was obtained.

Financial Account Connections (Plaid)

To support direct-deposit (ACH) payouts, payment initiation, and bank-account verification, we offer connections to your financial institutions through Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”), a regulated data-network provider. When you choose to connect a bank account, Plaid Link launches in a secure widget, you authenticate directly with your bank or credit union, and Plaid returns to Joliez Agency a tokenized reference together with the limited data fields we need to operate the service (which may include account and routing numbers, account-holder name, account type and subtype, current and available balance at the moment of linking, institution name, and an ACH return-risk signal).

You provide affirmative consent immediately before Plaid Link launches by checking an on-screen authorization box. Your bank login credentials are entered into Plaid’s widget and are not visible to or stored by Joliez Agency. Plaid’s collection and use of your information is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You may withdraw the authorization, disconnect a linked account, or request deletion of the associated Plaid item at any time from your Profile page or by emailing privacy@joliezagency.com; revocation requests are propagated to Plaid in addition to being honored on our systems.

Encryption at rest. All consumer data received from the Plaid API and persisted by Joliez Agency — including account and routing numbers, account-holder name, account type, institution and item identifiers, balance snapshots, and Plaid Signal scores — is encrypted on disk with AES-256 using per-record initialization vectors. The Plaid access_token is held only in memory for the duration of a single request and is not written to disk. Data is transmitted between Joliez Agency and Plaid only over TLS 1.2+.

Phishing-resistant MFA before Plaid Link. Every Plaid Link launch — first connection, reconnection, or update — is gated by a fresh WebAuthn ceremony on your device (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key). We never accept SMS codes or email links as a substitute. See our Multi-Factor Authentication Policy for the full standard.

Data Retention, Deletion & Disposal

Joliez Agency maintains a written Data Retention & Secure Deletion Policy that governs how long each category of Personal Information is kept and how it is destroyed at the end of its lifecycle. The policy is owned by the Chief Executive Officer, enforced by the Chief Technology Officer, and is reviewed at least annually, or sooner when laws, contractual obligations, or business processes change.

The policy is designed to comply with applicable data privacy laws and frameworks, including but not limited to the U.S. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), state breach-notification statutes, IRS recordkeeping requirements, applicable employment record laws, and the contractual data-handling requirements of our financial-data partners (e.g., Plaid Inc., Stripe Inc., and our depository banks).

Retention Schedule (summary)

  • Account & profile data (name, email, phone, role) — retained for the life of the account, plus up to 24 months after closure for fraud-prevention and dispute purposes.
  • Government identifiers (SSN, driver license, passport, EIN) — retained only while required for employment, tax, or KYC purposes, then destroyed on the next scheduled purge cycle (no later than 7 years after the relationship ends, per IRS / 8 U.S.C. § 1324a recordkeeping).
  • Banking & payout records (routing/account numbers, void checks, Plaid item links) — retained while the payee is active; tokenized references and audit metadata retained for 7 years for tax, ACH return, and chargeback reconciliation.
  • Payment / invoice records — 7 years minimum (IRS).
  • Authentication, session, and security logs — 13 months rolling.
  • Cookie-consent audit log — 24 months rolling.
  • Customer-support and service-request correspondence — 36 months after closure of the request.
  • Marketing contact lists — until the user unsubscribes or requests deletion, plus a permanent suppression record of the opt-out.
  • Backups — encrypted full backups are retained for 90 days on a rolling schedule and are subject to the same deletion policy on rotation.

Secure Deletion

When data reaches the end of its retention period, or when a verified deletion request is granted, records are removed from active systems and replaced with a tombstone marker that preserves only the minimum metadata required for audit and anti-replay. Encrypted Personal Information is destroyed via crypto-erasure of the wrapping key in addition to row deletion. Physical media is securely wiped or destroyed prior to disposal. Records subject to an active legal hold, open investigation, or unresolved dispute are exempted from automated deletion until the hold is released.

Requesting Deletion

You may request deletion of your Personal Information at any time by emailing privacy@joliezagency.com from the address on file, or from your account’s Profile page. We will verify your identity, honor the request to the extent permitted by law, and confirm completion in writing. Where a deletion request conflicts with a legal retention requirement (e.g., tax records), we will explain the basis and complete the deletion when the legal requirement ends.

Your Rights and Choices

  • Access your stored Personal Information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion where legally permitted.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).

Joliez Agency may revise this Privacy Notice over time as new features are added to the Website or as laws and standards evolve. We will post those changes prominently, but we recommend that you read this Privacy Notice each time you visit the Website. Changes will not apply retroactively to Personal Information that was collected before the changes to the Privacy Notice, except as may be required by law.
